Rules and regulations

  • Every participant performs on three different street corners (more or less half an hour at a time).
  • The participants have half an hour in between each performance to enable them to get to the next playing spot.
  • The use of electricity to amplify instruments is allowed in a limited way. The singing however may never be amplified with a microphone.
  • Each participant travelling more than 10 kilometres receives a contribution with a maximum of 50 euro's.
  • No more than 12 people may perform in each act.
  • No additional technical means will be made available by the organisation.
  • Each participant receives 3 vouchers and a lunch parcel.
  • An expert independent jury selects six acts that will play in the final.
  • The final will take place at the same day, but instead on the Hooglandsekerk Square where a podium with a sound system will be available. The expert jury and the public will decide who the winner of the Gouden Pet (Golden Cap) will be.
  • There will be no correspondence regarding the outcome.
